We Christians talk about a new life, what do we really mean? We talk about the person is being change at the time they made commitment to follow Jesus. However, what really happen? What really change in the believer’s life. Where does the change taken place? Will the person sinful impulse of the body goes away? Will a person loose the urges to masturbate? Will the person stop having illicit sex? Where does the change taken place? What you find out here might shock you. For some people the changes is just mouth talk, they only change their pants, their looks, and the way they fix their faces, but nothing else really change. Your pants and socks might just be blow off. I hear one pastor boast that a woman tries to make love to him and how he rejected her. He sound so perfect, so straight, and so self righteous. I could boast the same thing myself. However, most of the time when I rejected a woman’s offer it is because I did not like the woman.
Sometime her husband’s face scared the crap out of me. Sometime she is too young and I do not want the police to come knocking at my door. Sometime it is the Spirit of God helping me to understand. Two O clocks one night a girl I like turns up at my place of hanging out at the job. A after listening to her for awhile, I had to determine why she came and what does she want from me at this hour of the night. She came because she wanted some answers, about God. In fact I knew through revelation that she did not came for what my dirty mind wanting to think. Two years later when I saw her she was married and had children and was a member of a church.
THE CHANGES TAKE PLACE IN OUR SPIRIT MAN.
Galatians 5:22 (NASB-U) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:23 (KJV) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Ephes. 5:9 (KJV) (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Acts 9:18 (KJV) And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
Our eyes will suddenly open to many things when we made commitment to follow Jesus. We will see things differently. We will see why people are people black or white. We will have compassion. But all this will materialize in our spirit man, in the part of our being where we think, where decisions are made. Very little evidence will be seeing in our body.
THE CHANGE WILL TAKE PLACE IN OUR BODY WHEN WE RECEIVED A NEW BODY.
Philip. 3:20 (KJV) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Philip. 3:21 (KJV) Who shall change our vile body, which it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
We see here that the vile impulse of our body will not be change until our lord returns. We cannot stop ourselves from wanting to go to the toilet, from wanting to eat food, or even wanting to sleep. We have voluntaries muscles and in voluntaries muscles in our body. We cannot tell our eyes when to blink.
It is the same things with instincts that govern the body. We do not tell our bodies when to have a sexual urges. Urges like hungry can comes on any time even when we do not see any of the upper sex. We do not need to see a restaurant before we feel hungry. Or see a toilet to want to go to the toilet.
2 Cor. 4:16 (KJV) For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Cor. 4:16 (NASB-U) Therefore, we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
The outer man is here refers to the body. When a person made commitment to follow Jesus as lord, the work of redemption was not done in the person outer man, which is the body, the work is done in the inner man, which is the soul and spirit.
[inward man] Refers to the soul and spirit—the real person in the body (James 2:26; Hebrews 4:12; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Thes. 5:23; Rev. 6:9; 2 Cor. 5:8).
James 2:26 (KJV) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Rev. 6:9 (KJV) And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony, which they held:
Romans 8:23 (GW) However, not only creation groans. We, who have the Spirit as the first of God's gifts, also groan inwardly. We groan as we eagerly wait for our adoption, the freeing of our bodies {from sin}.
WE MUST TRAINED OUR BODY TO BEHAVE PROPERLY
Even though our body were not redeem, we who wanting to live up to certain standard, to please society, must bring our body into subjection, even thou we do not do that to buy salvation. But to prevent Satan from capitalized on it. If we do not train this vile body, it will bring us into disgrace. It will ruin our ministry here among men, and get us into trouble with the laws of the land. But in doing so, we must remember that not all believers reach the maturity as us how are perfect and we must give each other time to catch up. I cannot expect my son to live as me. I cannot expect young people going into puberty to behave as old people who are finish. 1 Cor. 9:27 (NASB-U)but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
2 Cor. 2:11 (NASB-U) so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
Romans 12:1 (GW)Brothers and sisters, in view of all we have just shared about God's compassion, I encourage you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, dedicated to God and pleasing to him. This kind of worship is appropriate for you.
2 Cor. 12:7 (NASB-U)Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself!
THE SINS OF THE BODY WILL NOT BE CONQUERED LITERALLY BY ALL SAINTS WHILE LIVING ON EARTH.
2 Cor. 5:10 (NASB-U) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
SOME THING YOU OVERCAME BY GRACE.
2 Cor. 12:8 (NASB-U)Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me.
2 Cor. 12:9 (NASB-U) And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

We can sing with the song writer" I rise walk in heaven’s own light above the world and sin with heart made pure and garments white, and Christ en-throned with in. HOW TO CONTINUE IN THE FAITH.
Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
The first thing you will need to know is this. Beware of people who come laying hands on you say they are filling you with the Holy Ghost. That is how people get possess with demonic spirits. God will give you every thing you need to fit you out for his service in his own times. You do not need to push any thing nor to make any thing happen. Wait until God make it happen. Do not get too carry away into this charismatic stuff, I spent almost forty years in it, all those who try to fake it or pushed it got hurt.

A NEW MIND-SET.
After the lord save a person, there are some things that the person must do on their own. All the work is not just up to Jesus. You must develop a different mind set, from the one you have before you were converted. Not a holier that thou mind set but a new mind.
Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
GIVE YOURSELF AWAY TO THE THINGS OF GOD.
1Ti 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 1Ti 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 1Ti 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
