T o understand how the believers are save, and how the believer live in the world of lust and are kept save in a vile body you must understand two basic doctrines. They are call Justification and Sanctification. This is what the people from the old school do not understand why they cannot win nor keep converts. People from the old school preach too gospel, salvation by grace, and salvation by living holy. We call this doctrine “legalism” Do not misunderstand what I am trying to say. Living holy is quite necessary but it is not what pays for our salvation. Even after we get save we still sin and come short. I hope many of us are save enough to admit this. The people from the old school when they talking about them sinning they make it sound like it was twenty years ago and since the following nineteen years they have never sin.

Isaiah 64:6 (KJV) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Did you know that the reason why Christians backslide is that they find it hard to overcome the impulses of the body? The reason why some Christians leave the faith and became Muslims is because they loose the fight with the body, the body keeps crawling off the altar. Did you know that one masturbation act could put some Christians in ten weeks of depression? One so-call act of fornication could bring on the feelings of guilt, and stop certain Christians from coming to church. One act of adultery with a close family member or in-law can cause some Christians to commit suicide? The only thing that could help that believer is a good counselor who understands the doctrines of salvation. If the Christians was a perfectionalist or a self-righteous person, he she could have a mental breakdown, and spiritual meltdown over the guilty feelings of such a sex act. This cause many Christians to be punishing their body, by going into a death dive fasting, and over working themselves, trying to buy back their salvations which they think their body always causing them to loose.

So-call mature Christians or the Christians from the old school who do not understand the doctrines of salvation could become a whip, for the newly converted people and cause the church to go empty, by driving them away with Rom 12:1-2. To prevent Christian’s workers from emptying your church as a pastor you need to make sure that they understand all aspects of the work of salvation.

OUR BODY WAS NOT REDEEM AT CONVERSION.

Romans 8:23 (GW) However, not only creation groans. We, who have the Spirit as the first of God's gifts, also groan inwardly. We groan as we eagerly wait for our adoption, the freeing of our bodies {from sin}. Rom 8:21 that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Rom 8:23 And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

OUR SPIRIT MAN VERSUS THE OUTWARD MAN.

The inward man is the soul & spirit, the outward man is the body. The outward man our body was not save the time we were saved. The outward man will be save at the revelation of our lord. Our job now is to present our body as a living sacrifice. A living sacrifice is not a dead one, living sacrifice give trouble, it tries to crawl off the altar, we must constantly wash it and put it back on the altar. It is a reasonable service but not an effortless one.

2 Cor. 4:16 (KJV) For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

THE REGENERATED INWARD MAN.

The regenerated inward man is call the “New Man” These are some qualities that the new man must put on. Col. 3:10 (KJV) And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Our body the outward man was not redeem at conversion, only our spirit man, or inward man. Once more, to understand how a person is save and keep save we must understand the word repentance, justification, and sanctification. And we must understand all phase of these word. They are some more theological words need looking into but to keep things simple, we will only deal with these for now.

REPENTANCE.

Repentance a feeling of regret for one's misdeeds, remorse, or remorsefulness, Regretfulness, self-reproach, self-reproof and sorrow. Before a sinner can make any covenant with Christ, he/she must first repent.

Acts 26:20 (KJV) But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

JUSTIFICATION.

You might have heard the word justification many times. It means adjustment, plea, alignment, correction, and defense. Justification also mean you have made right with God, it mean you have come into good standing with God and is acceptable by him.

Justification seem to be a Judicial term bringing to our mind a court-room scene. Man, guilty and condemned, before God, is acquitted and declared righteous- that is, justified. The human races are sinners because of Adam sin. When the sinner has made his peace with God, this is call ATONEMENT. It is also call justification that mean” The sinner has received forgiveness of sin. He or she is not condemned to hell anymore.

SANCTIFICATION.

Sanctification mean to be made clear, or clean. There is in two phase of Sanctification. One that came through Jesus blood. His blood cleanse you from your sins. This is call positional or standing sanctification. We will talk more about this. Repentance, justification, and sanctification happen the same time at conversion. However, justification is what God does for the sinner first. When the sinners get up from prayer, he or she feels clean because they are clean in deeds. They can feel it. However, this feeling is just the baby stage. After a while, the feeling is going to drop off. And fact and faith must take over. Sanctification is in two phase.

STANDING SANCTIFICATION.

Sanctification is two phase. Positional sanctification, another name for this is standing sanctification. This is what Christ imputed to you and me the time you and I accept him. This is imputed to your spiritual account. This is like a bounce proof checking account. Because you are now in covenant with Christ and has became a part of him, his holiness automatically transcending down to you. All that is a part of the vine is holy just as the vine are holy. God saw us as what we are in Jesus. He saw us in standing or positional sanctifications. So every believer in Christ is holy base on the fact that he she has Christ holiness trickled down to them.

This holiness is running in the background as a back up. You and I have to really gone off course to tear up this account. We can tear up this with lack of love, covetousness, envy, and spiritual wickedness, just like King Saul of old. Just like Judas that betrayed Christ, and just like Alexander who became a trouble to Paul. In addition, the men who were giving Moses trouble. Yes, you have to abide in the vine.

John 15:5 (KJV) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

This is what we call the security of the believers. To use up this you have to lack love. Remember, this sanctification was put to our account, but there is another aspect of sanctification that we will be talking about.

PRACTICAL AND PROGRESSIVE SANCTIFICATION

John 15:3 (KJV) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

1 Peter 1:2 (KJV) Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

1 Cor. 6:11 (KJV) And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Practical and progressive sanctification come to us through the written word and the holy spirit. However, we play a part in this. The Holy Spirit only uses the word and point out our faults to us and that and by lay the faults aside, we are clean from it. This is perfecting holiness an a daily and personal basic. This is what we have, or how we must perfect daily. Practical and progressive sanctification come through the written and spoken word, as the word of God is being preach to you and as you read the word daily it begin to clean up your life. The practical and progressive part is what you do, or what you let the written word do in and through you each day as you progress in the faith. This comes through learning. And as you learn each day, you will drop off more of your sins. When the Lord saved you. Even though you feel clean and were clean.

The root of sin is still there. And can spring back again. This is call the old man” The old nature” A thorn in the flesh” An Evil intends” “and a root of bitterness” You will not get rid of this until the rapture, when the body is being redeem. When you received the last work of salvation” Glorification. When you received a glorified body like what Christ has, after his resurrection.

Philip. 3:21 (KJV) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Practical and progressive is where we saw each other, full of faults. When Christians say. “He or she is not living clean” They are referring to the practical and progressive part of our daily life. The practical and progressive sanctification is activated the time you were born again. Just like the standing and positional sanctification. However, the practical part might take years to finally come to perfection in our life and people will think that you are not save but you are. This depend on the person, for some Christians this putting off the old man can be quick, while for some it could take years.

THE MORE OF THESE YOU LAY ASIDE IS THE MORE YOUR ARE CLEAN PRACTICALLY.

1 Peter 2:1 (KJV) Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 1 Peter 2:2 (KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:3 (KJV) If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Jesus Christ is the Vine, the true Vine. The union of the human and Divine natures, and the fulness of the Spirit that is in him, resemble the root of the vine made fruitful by the moisture from a rich soil. Believers are branches of this Vine. The root is unseen, and our life is hid with Christ; the root bears the tree, diffuses sap to it, and in Christ are all supports and supplies. The branches of the vine are many, yet, meeting in the root, are all but one vine; thus all true Christians, though in place and opinion distant from each other, meet in Christ. Believers, like the branches of the vine, are weak, and unable to stand but as they are borne up.

Now that we explain the two kind of sanctification, just remember that the first one is call “Standing, imputed or positional sanctification” This is what will be taking us to glory. So all believers can boldly say that they are clean, they are sanctified, at the same time they still have some faults dealing with.

PRACTICAL AND PROGRESSIVE SANCTIFICATION

. 1 Peter 5:10 (KJV) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

Even the practical and progressive sanctification that you and I must perfect daily. The Holy Spirit still have to give us some help with this one. This one will only comes after we have suffer for awhile.

DOES THE PRACTICAL AND PROGRESSIVE SANCTIFICATION SAVE US?

“No” but it will help us to get rewards in heaven, and it will keep us from an accusing fingers on earth among the people that we live.

Philip. 2:15 (KJV)That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

THE SINS OF THE BODY WILL NOT BE CONQUERED LITERALLY BY (ALL) SAINTS WHILE LIVING ON EARTH.

2 Cor. 5:10 (NASB-U)For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. When the Lord redeemed us our body was not redeem, it was our spirit and soul. The changes took place in our spirit man. Not the body. The body will still continue to sin. If the believer do not know this they will become worried as to why am I still lusting? And became eaten up with guilt to the point where they experience no peace and joy.

CAN THE VILE BODY BE PRESENTED HOLY?

Yes, the vile body can be presented holy to God, and I am talking about the practical and progress kind of holiness. The body can be presented holy and all phase, both on what Jesus done and on what we done, but this take time. But this is not done to get and keep salvation. It make us invincible. Without this, we will not see the kingdom. Seeing the kingdom and enter into the kingdom, is not talking about being save.

Matthew 5:20 (KJV)For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Col. 1:13 (KJV)Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Kingdom of God mean many thing, right now born again Christians is in the kingdom. But this is not talking about the Millennium Kingdom, nor the rapture saints going to heaven. Do you remember when our lord was upon earth healing the sick and raising the dead? The religious people of his time, did not see what God was doing right in their time and before their very eyes and they fight against it and never really saw it. The same things is happening to us today. We are keeping Sabbath day, cannot see it past, and will be coming back again. But not in our dispensation.

Even though our body were not redeem, we who wanting to live up to certain standard, to please society, must bring our body into subjection, even thou we do not do that to buy salvation. But to prevent Satan from capitalized on it. But to bring this body into subjection take time. We saw believers at the judgment seat of Christ in heaven being judge for the deeds of the body.

1 Cor. 9:27 (NASB-U)but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

2 Cor. 2:11 (NASB-U) so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

Romans 12:1 (GW)Brothers and sisters, in view of all we have just shared about God's compassion, I encourage you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, dedicated to God and pleasing to him. This kind of worship is appropriate for you.

2 Cor. 12:7 (NASB-U)Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself!

TO CONTINUE GROWING IN GOD.

1 Peter 2:2 (KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2 Peter 1:5-10 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.

FINDING OUT YOUR CALLING

When I was newly save, the believers always, ask me if I know the will of God for my life! I never really know what they were talking about. Every person that was saved had a mission and a gift. However, because you are just a babe in Christ you do not know any of these. As you go on with the lord his will for you will unfolds day bay day. Do not run off and make any big commitment. Your mate has to be tailor made for you by God. You are now a citizen of heaven. Heaven does not rule by democracy. You cannot serve God with democratic mind set.

WHAT YOU MUST DROP OFF.

Hebrews 12:1 (Living Bible) Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.

Ephes. 4:31 (Living Bible) Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives.

Col. 3:8 (Living Bible) but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language.

GET A GOOD BIBLE, FIND A GOOD CHURCH.

DROP THE BAD HABITS.

Drop the smoking, even though we cannot prove it to be a sin. You are going to be sitting down beside other church going people; they do not want to be smelling the odor from smoking on you.

PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM BEING SPOILED BY MAN.

Col. 2:8 (KJV)Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Hebrews 13:9 (KJV) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Seven Ways that People Can Spoil Christians:

1. Through philosophy (Col. 2:8)

2. Through vain deceit (Col. 2:4,8,18-19)

3. Through human traditions (Col. 2:8)

4. Through human religion and world principles contrary to the gospel (Col. 2:8,14-23; note, §Galatians 4:3)

5. Through circumcision (Col. 2:11-13; Acts 15:1; Romans 4:9-16; Galatians 5:1-11)

6. Through the law of Moses, demanding observance of the laws on meats, drinks, holy days, new moons, feasts, and sabbaths (Col. 2:14-17)

7. Through cults that puff up and imitate the gospel (Col. 2:18-23)

By all these means, unsuspecting souls are being carried off as plunder and booty by false teachers. The founders of false religions and human philosophies which pamper the flesh and give their victims elated feelings of importance make an appeal to them.

Christianity is loaded down with some false concept. Some little believe system, which are spread by false believers. One of such teaching is that you must “Look like Christians” How does Christians look? Genuine Christianity is not an external thing but of the heart and spirit.

Micah 6:8 (KJV)He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

When cults capture a newly converted Christians, the cult first job on that new believer is to close their mind. Preventing the new believer from reading any material from other churches. So that new believer will never get out of their trap.

YOUR HORMONE DOES NOT STOP WORKING WITH CHRISTIANITY.

Our bodies were not save at conversion. The work of redemption took place in your spirit man. Our body will be redeemed at the return of our lord. We are still waiting for the redemption of our body.

According to Philip 3:20-21 and Romans 8:23. You are still going to have urges. You have to present your body to the lord as a living sacrifice. Not dead one. Living sacrifice give trouble, you will have trouble keeping that body tied to the altar. However, as you and I grow in the lord what seem impossible will be quite possible.
