S uccess are based on intelligent, and knowledge put into motions. Failures come about by inadequate preparation. People who succeeded by chance always loses their success, and return to ground zero where they originally were. As you do this study, it is important to remember the title, we are talking about “The reasons why Christians get defeated”
1Peter 5:9-AV Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
The scripture teaches that the same afflictions face every born again child of God, so why some comes to be a blessing and other comes to nought? If two people are giving the same test, why one pass and the other fails?
THINGS THEY DID NOT KNOW, AND THINGS THEY DID NOT DO:
Hosea 4:6-AV My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
(I) READING:
1Timothy 4:13-AV Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
Joshua 1:8-AV This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
A Christians who do not make time for reading of scriptures daily, in addition, daily meditation cannot be spiritually successful. Because things that you are suppose to know, you will not know it. There are many traps, many false religions out there, that will push you off courses. For example,
YOU WILL HEAR THAT MAN DO NOT HAVE A SOUL, BUT LOOK AT THESE VERSES:
Colossians 2:8-AV Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Job 14:22-AV But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
1Thessalonians 5:23-AV And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Genesis 35:18-AV And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.
As you read, you will see that man has a soul, a spirit, and a body. If you are depending on the church to provide you with the spiritual education that you need to get over the hills, you will lose your way. Many churches only provide you with enough information for you to be good tithes payers and good bench member.
NEGLECT NOT:
1Timothy 4:14-AV Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
MEDITATES:
1Timothy 4:15-AV Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
GIVE THYSELF COMPLETELY TO IT:
1Timothy 4:16-AV Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
(2) PRAYER:
1Peter 4:7-AV But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 1Peter 4:8-AV And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1Peter 4:9-AV Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
James 5:16-AV Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Colossians 4:2-AV Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
PRAYER AND FORGIVENESS GOES HAND IN HAND BUT THE OFFENDER MUST ASK FOR FORGIVENESS:
Luke 17:3-AV Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. Luke 17:4-AV And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Matthew 6:15-AV But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
(3) GETTING TO KNOW THE HOLY SPIRIT:
If you failed to learn the scriptures, you will be led astray by false religions. If you failed to learn the Holy Ghost, you will fall into bad decisions including mis match marriage. If you made any bad decisions where marriage are concerns, you will spent the rest of your life in unhappiness and adultery.
THE HOLY SPIRIT JOB IS TO GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH, AND SHOW YOU THINGS TO COME:
John 16:13-AV Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, AND BRING BACK THE SCRIPTURES TO YOUR REMEMBRANCE:
John 14:26-AV But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
HE WILL TEACH YOU ABOUT JESUS:
John 15:26-AV But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
(4) BAD MARRIAGE:
2Corinthians 6:14-AV Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Christians fall into bad marriage because of four sins. No bible reading, no prayer life, misconceptions of what a mature Christians are, and failure to hear from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will have to show you the inside of people. People only paint up their outside, to look good, but move in with them and you will see something else. Some people bring their pet in the bed room, to be a spectators and a participant during love making. I have seen some of my co-worker, rub the back of Nurses in charge and are all up in their faces, and as soon as the nurses gone from them, they call her” lazy bastard, stupid bitch" My blood run cold to know that people are really like that. "Yes! They are like that, and you will need the Holy Spirit to reveal to you, who you are dealing with.
UNBELIEVERS AND CARNAL CHRISTIANS DO NOT UNDERSTAND SPIRIT FILL BELIEVERS:
John 3:8-AV The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
1Corinthians 3:1-AV And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, [even] as unto babes in Christ. 1Corinthians 3:2-AV I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.
THESE STILL BEAR GRUDGES AND BEHAVE LIKE NONE CHRISTIANS:
1Corinthians 3:3-AV For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
So we can conclude that bad marriage is another thing that bring down Christians.
A SEX PROBLEM:
Satan will make sure you get involve with somebody who are incompatibly sexually to you. Sex problem is one of the biggest problems among Church people. Some prefer machines , and still some prefer same sex. Some only want to get married because it look good in the church.
THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO CANNOT DO WITHOUT SEX:
1 Cor. 7:7-9 (KJV)For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. [8] I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. [9] But if they ((cannot contain,)) let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
IF YOU HAS THE SEX GIFT AND NEEDS:
Make sure you hear from God before you get your life tied up, with a sexual dead person. You will need somebody who has the same sexual needs as you. Or else it will not work. The church is full of them, as soon as they get themselves burnt out, in Satan motel, they run to the church. Satan uses the church as a dumping ground. These sexually dead people are counting that you will behave inspire that they cannot fulfilled your needs, because you are a Christian. You have no choice but to bear it, but if you have the gift, you cannot contain. 1 Cor 7:9. 1 Cor 7:1. If the people in the church find out that you have a sweet heart, it is over in there for you. Rumors spread like fire in the Church. When they hear something about you. They have ways of telling you that they hear about it, and believe it.
WATCH OUT FOR SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS:
"Spiritual wickedness" is sneak attacks, and mean attitudes. For example, my wife an I visit a church on one of their anniversarys service. We were with them when they started the ministry, but did not become members. The pastor call the person by name who was sitting to the right of me, and welcome him, then he called the person who was sitting to the left of me, and welcome him. When his wife came on to give her speech, she called the person by name who was sitting back of me, and welcome him, then she call the person who was sitting before me, and welcome him. Nothing was said about me, no welcome was given to me. Therefore, I have to concluded that I was not welcome. I been in church over some forty years, and this is how many of them behave, when they have a grudge, or envy. Every sin is in church, but it is displayed differently. That is why it is called "spiritual wickedness." The way to deal with this is to come out from among them.
2 Cor. 6:17 (KJV) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
Ephes. 6:12 (KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
WATCH OUT FOR CHRISTIANS MASKS:
Problem Christians have a way to put on makes, as a woman put on make up. Self righteousness is one of the masks.
Do not make their clothing, the shapes of their bodies, not their charismatic gifts blind you eyes. You need to let the person know that you have the needs and if they do not have that need you will want to separate and owe them nothing.
1Corinthians 7:2-AV Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 1Corinthians 7:3-AV Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 1Corinthians 7:4-AV The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 1Corinthians 7:5-AV Defraud ye not one the other, except [it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. Luke 6:31-AV And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
(5) TAKING TOO MANY PUNCHES:
Matthew 10:23-AV But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
2Peter 3:17-AV Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
Philippians 3:2-AV Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
GET BITTEN BY DOG:
Galatians 5:15-AV But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
GET REND BY SWINE:
Matthew 7:6-AV Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
GET RUN OVER BY FROG:
Revelation 16:13-AV And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
(6) COULD NOT OVER COME CERTAIN SINS:
Many Christians backslide because they could not overcome certain sins as they had anticipated. You will have to know God for yourself. Some preachers make it sound that if you pass gas it is a sin. You will never overcame all the sins in a practically sense. You will have to claim the righteousness of Jesus and applied it to arias of your life where you sin and come short.
1 John 1:8-10 (KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
(7) I ALWAYS LEAVE OUT SOMETHING, SO AS TO PROTECT MY BOOKS:

(8) DID NOT GO FAR WITH GOD SO AS TO KNOW THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD:
Hosea 6:3-AV Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain unto the earth.
Not every thing in the Bible is for everyone. And not every thing applied to you and I, Salivation is tailor made by God to meet us where we are. Christians fails because we did not go far with God, so as to know the deep things of God.
EZEKIEL WAS TOLD TO EAT MAN'S DUNG:
Ezekiel 4:12-AV And thou shalt eat it [as] barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. Ezekiel 4:13-AV And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them. Ezekiel 4:14-AV Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth. Ezekiel 4:15-AV Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
THIS PROPHET WAS TOLD TO HAVE SOMEBODY HIT HIM:
1Kings 20:35-AV And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his neighbour in the word of the LORD, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him. 1Kings 20:36-AV Then said he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice of the LORD, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him. 1Kings 20:37-AV Then he found another man, and said, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man smote him, so that in smiting he wounded [him].
HOSEA WAS TOLD TO MARRY A WHORE:
Hosea 1:2-AV The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, [departing] from the LORD.
JEREMIAH WAS TOLD NOT TO MARRY:
Jeremiah 16:1-AV The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying, Jeremiah 16:2-AV Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.
ISAIAH WAS TOLD SOMETHING ELSE:
Isaiah 8:1-AV Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz. Isaiah 8:2-AV And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah. Isaiah 8:3-AV And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.
